1.12 Financial Support

As mentioned elsewhere on this site, the project of compiling the Nijmegen Arabic Dictionaries was fully subsidized. The CLVV (Commissie Lexicografische Vertaalvoorzieningen, Commission for Lexicographic Translation Facilities), a commission of the Dutch Language Union (Nederland Taalunie), provided the funds for the realization of this project.

The actual production of the dictionaries was of course financed by the Amsterdam based publisher Bulaaq.
